Other benefits of massage include improving circulation and lymphatic flow, sedating and stimulating nerve endings, assisting in the removal of metabolic waste and improving muscle tone and elasticity.
A treatment can include deep tissue massage, stretching and post treatment advice including exercises to perform at home.
Remedial Massage Therapy is a deep tissue massage designed to aid the body in recovering from strains, sprains and general muscular-skeletal complaints and it works well alongside Chiropractic treatment.
It can be used for relaxation purposes and is great for revitalizing the body’s balance helping to relax muscles which can help to prevent fatigue, stress and anxiety.
Pilates and Yoga
Pilates is great for improving strength and flexiblity as well as your posture or even relieve back pain. You don’t have to be young, flexible or a girl – Pilates is for everyone no matter how fit you are.
Yoga brings the body and mind together and is built on three main elements – exercise, breathing and meditation. You don’t have to be super bendy to be a yogi, nor really strong. Whether you already do another sport or are just looking for a new and different activity to practise, yoga is ideal.
Yoga and Pilates both improve muscular and postural strength.
